Early Leaving Application From School
When a student must leave school before the last bell — for an appointment, a family need, or an event — the school needs a clear written request. This template covers the early departure cleanly and responsibly.

When and how to use this letter
Give the exact leaving time in the application — 'after the fourth period' or 'at 11:30 AM' — so the class teacher knows precisely when to release the student. Submit the note in the morning to the class teacher, who will usually forward it to the office for the gate pass.
Expect the sign-out process: the parent or guardian must come to the reception, show identification, and sign the early-departure register. Schools do this for every child's safety, so factor in ten to fifteen minutes at the office. Students are never allowed to walk out alone on an early-leaving note.
A useful tip: ask the teacher which periods will be missed and whether any class test falls in them. If a test is scheduled, many teachers will let the student take it during the break before leaving — a small favour that is only possible when the request arrives early in the day. Avoid requesting early departure on days with scheduled assessments unless the reason is genuinely urgent; frequent early leaving draws attention from the school administration.
If early departures become frequent for a genuine reason, such as regular medical treatment, request a meeting with the class teacher to agree on a routine — a standing plan beats repeated notes. Note the missed periods each time and catch up the same evening, so no subject falls behind. Keep the gate passes or sign-out slips in a folder; they are useful proof if attendance is ever questioned.
